Glenavon looks forward to welcoming a sell-out crowd to Mourneview Park for the Boxing Day Mid-Ulster derby. 2t714q
The PSNI has issued the following instructions concerning crowd control and safety:
- ers of both clubs are asked to arrive early as delays are expected due to the numbers attending.
- Glenavon ers will be accommodated in the Geddis Grandstand and Crescent Stand. They should enter via the Glenavon Crescent turnstiles.
- Portadown ers traveling by car should park considerately on the Tandragee Road. Access to business premises or private dwellings should not be blocked or restricted. Buses should approach the stadium from Sloan Street where there be a drop off zone and park on New Line.
- Portadown fans will be accommodated in the Glenfield Road Grandstand. They should enter via the Mourneview Avenue turnstiles.
- No one should approach the stadium without a valid ticket. Cash will not be accepted. This is an all-ticket fixture. All tickets have been sold.
- ers should have their tickets ready for inspection when entering the turnstiles. If the ticket is on a phone or tablet, it should be ed in advance in case there are internet connection issues, and the display should be on full brightness to allow the scanner to pick up the QR code quickly.
- If there are delays at the turnstiles, ers are asked to be patient and show consideration for others.
- All ers may be searched. Any person found with flares/fireworks will not be itted. He or she will be arrested immediately and prosecuted. This may result in a permanent criminal record and banning order.
- Anyone found to have alcohol in either seated or standing areas within view of the playing area will be ejected from the stadium.
- ers are reminded that it is an offence to enter the playing area including the pitch perimeter.
- ers are asked to obey the instructions of police officers, stewards and club officials and behave responsibly.
